The latest purchases from Amazon.co.uk:
Shopping for Vintage: The Definitive Guide to Vintage Fashion - Beautiful, beautiful book! Glanced at it yesterday and I can't wait to really get my teeth into it!
Subversive Cross Stitch - Fab idea from Julie Jackson and will keep my hands busy for a while. Great present for someone off-beat and crafty.
Making Stuff: An Alternative Craft Book - Perhaps this was the disappointing part of my shipment, perhaps not. It was a tad more beginner-y than I'd hoped but there were still a handful of projects I want to try right away.
Misery Is a Butterfly - I quite like Blonde Redhead (despite the very disappointing show last Thursday) and the result of the first round of listening to MIAB is that I like it, and something makes me think that after a few more rounds I'll love it. Perhaps it was because I was under the influence of a Brontë (see below) but BR struck me as being the musical equivalence of the Brontës, ie all dark moors and whatnot.
Jane Eyre - 2006 (BBC) - Laughed, cried, giggled, blushed, loved it! I've never been a big fan of Jane Eyre, and the old original film did absolutely nothing for me, but thanks to a great job by everyone involved I absolutely fell head over heels with it! When our 'Auntie', RÚV, airs it in a couple of years, be sure to watch it.
Mr. Rochester!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!
