It's half term/reading week this week so I've had the luxury of setting my own schedule, meaning I can sleep till noon and it doesn't make me late for anything. So having all this great 'morning' time I've been taking my time in making this juice-type-thingie that I normally wouldn't have time for, and drinking it for breakfast. The recipe sort of goes like this: handful of pineapple chunks*, handful of strawberries, half a banana, a kiwi, 2 tbs wild flower honey, 1 tsp ginger, 1 tsp cinnamon and one cup apple juice, oh and ice! The original recipe called for organic this and fresh ground that but come on, have you ever tried grating fresh ginger? And this all fits nicely into a Guinness pint glass I found in the kitchen cupboard! It just makes drinking it more fun somehow, not as disgustingly healthy :p Plus the consistency isn't all that different from a pint of Guinness...
*I also bought and cut up my first ever pineapple this week!
i still haven't braved cutting up a pineapple! i've had two go bad this year, waiting for richard! haha.
