After a quick pow pow on the stairs, my lovely flatmate suggested we started locking the door at night (meaning locking that extra lock, it's not open for anyone to just walk in!). Even though our street is pretty quiet, we're pretty weirded out by the Kinsella stabbing (not 10 min away from here) and the recent murders in New Cross. He had a nasty experience in his old flat in Euston, their door got kicked in and some guy ransacked the place, and he's not keen on that happening (or worse) again.
